Early turnout was big. Rezabek said the county had just over 40,000 in-person early voters, a record, and he called turnout “tremendous.” As of Monday morning, the county had 40,066 in-person voters and 25,473 mail ballots. On Sunday, the last day of early voting, the line at the board of elections snaked through the county parking garage, with an estimated three-hour wait as of 3 p.m.
