If you haven't voted yet, today's the day. Polls are open until 7:30 p.m., and anyone in line by then can still vote, Montgomery County Board of Elections Director Jeff Rezabek said. We suggest checking your polling location and sample ballot before you head out.

Early turnout was big. Rezabek said the county had just over 40,000 in-person early voters, a record, and he called turnout “tremendous.” As of Monday morning, the county had 40,066 in-person voters and 25,473 mail ballots. On Sunday, the last day of early voting, the line at the board of elections snaked through the county parking garage, with an estimated three-hour wait as of 3 p.m.

What a polite group of trick or treaters we had last evening.

“From little ones to teens and everyone in between. We sat out for about an hour and enjoyed the costumes. Especially want to complement the 2 teens (one was carrying something that looked like a collection box for money) who asked permission before taking a Capri Sun. Then gave us the thumb’s up.”
