Good morning, Dayton.
On July 28, Sweet Retreat held an event to honor 7-year-old Hershall Creachbaum that raised over $1,000 for a memorial bench and garden at Ruskin Elementary after community funds already covered his funeral costs; the ice cream shop (which donated $1,281) also introduced a special sundae as the school plans to create Hershall’s Garden for remembrance and healing.
