- ➤ A grand jury in Dayton indicted Ashley N. Johnson (36) on obstructing justice and Michael D. Kendrick (39) on charges of gross abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence in connection to the presumed death of a boy age 7 whose remains had been found after weeks, authorities said. - ➤ Dayton International Airport will receive nearly $80 million in state funds to upgrade airport aprons, taxiways, and roads on a 150-acre site in Dayton, Union, and Butler Township—efforts that are expected to attract aerospace and defense companies such as Sierra Nevada Corporation and Joby. - ➤ Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost said his office will file an appeal this week after a judge ruled Ohio’s EdChoice voucher program unconstitutional — the ruling was stayed so the program can keep running while several school districts, including Dayton Public Schools, join the suit.
