Peyton Hoff, a Wright State grad who won a $6,000 prize from Wright Venture in 2023, used the funds to launch Absolute Roofing Services and grow his business.

Two years later, his company now offers roofing, siding, gutters and full exterior remodel services — with plans to double revenue and hire more sales reps as it expands into commercial projects.

Dayton police are asking the community for help to find an eight-year-old boy with autism who is non-verbal and uses a wheelchair — he went missing from the 400 block of Xenia Avenue at 3:30 a.m. Saturday and was last seen wearing a gray t-shirt with cartoons and gray sweatpants; anyone with information should call 937-333-2677.

Wright State alum Lindsay Aitchison earned a master’s in industrial and human factors engineering and now serves as deputy director of the Mars Campaign Office at NASA headquarters after receiving the 2025 College of Graduate Programs and Honors Studies Outstanding Alumni Award.

She leads work to develop systems for human missions to Mars — crediting her Wright State education for offering diverse engineering opportunities.

Wright State Police Department was named the July Agency of the Month by the Ohio Association of Chiefs of Police and the Law Enforcement Foundation for its community policing programs on campus.
