- ➤ The Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority offered free rides on Thursday for Juneteenth events and sent its June bus as a cooling station to a free concert at Fraze Pavillion in Lincoln Park Civic Commons in Kettering from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.—attendees could cool off amid rising temperatures. - ➤ On June 18th, the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds performed ahead of the Dayton Air Show and impressed local fans with a precise aerial display + drawing attention to the event’s buildup. Dayton Daily News

- ➤ Dayton police chased and arrested a wrong-way driver on U.S. 35 when the driver drove off the road near the Smithville Road exit and re-entered in reverse—both the 25-year-old driver and 26-year-old passenger face felony charges. WHIO-TV
