- ➤ Women incarcerated at Dayton Correctional Institution celebrated the holiday on Sunday with a family visit program organized by Four-Seven Ministries and Crossroads Church. - ➤ Karen Wick, a board member with Dayton Public Schools and owner of Coco's Bistro, died Saturday, Dec. 6 in Dayton. She was remembered for her hands-on leadership and community service, making a lasting impact on local schools and the restaurant community. WHIO-TV

- ➤ Dayton’s aviation department is asking the FAA to study moving a radar tower along Old Springfield Road to free up 115 acres for future development near the airport. Sierra Nevada Corp. is set to open a new hangar soon — a move that may support thousands of new jobs. Dayton Daily News

- ➤ In 2025, manufacturing in Dayton grew steadily as 131,000 jobs were created while more than 2,500 companies now operate locally; the industry makes up over 15 percent of the workforce and generated investments of more than 2 billion dollars, according to the Dayton Region Manufacturers Association. - ➤ Karen Wick, a Dayton Public Schools board member and owner of Coco’s Bistro, died Saturday, Dec. 6. She began running the bistro nearly 20 years ago and was serving on the board, with a second term set to end in 2026, after a recent City Commission bid did not succeed. WYSO

- ➤ Coach Sargent at Wright State continues to rotate his starting lineup, having used six different combinations in nine games as he works to boost defense and rebounding.
