- ➤ With God’s Grace Church will collect unwrapped toy donations at Title Boxing Club (2120 East Dorothy Lane, Kettering) from Dec. 8 to 18 for its Annual Toy Giveaway on Dec. 20 at the Free Store. It is partnering with the Montgomery County Sheriff for a fill-a-cruiser event on Dec. 14. WHIO-TV
- ➤ YMCA of Greater Dayton announced a merger with Springfield Family YMCA that will take effect Jan. 1, making it the 14th branch. - ➤ Kroger reopened its Edgewood Marketplace Fuel Center after $3 million upgrades in late November and is offering special gas price deals and in-store offers today. - ➤ Ohio taxpayers spent nearly $463K on Elf The Musical, which ran for one night in Springfield and two nights in Akron this November. The production used state tax credits and hired local crew (about 90 people) to support local business and creative projects. Dayton Daily News
