Dayton businesses are preparing for Small Business Saturday on December 6 as they plan to boost local support—entrepreneur leaders and local shop owners say the day is key for small business success.

CFD Research— a Beavercreek defense contractor— bought its Executive Drive building for $2.1 million, according to Greene County property records.

The 10,000-square-foot facility will serve as its Midwest Research & Development and Operations Center.

The Dayton Flyers blew a 14-point lead in the final six minutes of the second half but rallied in overtime to beat Georgetown 84-79 at the ESPN Events Invitational at State Farm Field House in Kissimmee, Fla.

The win gave Dayton its first tournament defeat of Georgetown and moved the team to 9-1—setting up their championship game against BYU on Friday at 9:30 p.m.
