- ➤ Dayton partnered with the Greater Dayton Area Hospital Association to start a Violence Interruption Program — aimed at reducing teen and gun violence as community concerns rise. - ➤ Mile 2, a defense contractor from downtown Dayton, opened its new Mission Delivery Center at 5000 Springfield St. in Riverside—closer to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force and providing a space where military, government, and industry experts can work together. - ➤ The Ohio Federal Research Network approved $10.198 million for seven research and development projects in defense, aerospace, quantum, autonomy, and advanced materials innovation. In Dayton, recipients including Wright State University, the Air Force Institute of Technology, Sinclair Community College, and the Dayton Entrepreneurs’ Center will benefit—creating 64 new jobs and attracting further investment. - ➤ Dayton Public Schools launched its sixth-year winter drive to collect warm winter wear (coats, hats, scarves and gloves) for students in need. - ➤ PUCO has ordered FirstEnergy to refund over $180 million and pay $64 million in civil forfeitures after its Ohio affiliates broke state law linked to the HB 6 bribery scandal — calculations are due by November 26 with payments starting in the following billing cycle.
