- ➤ The Ohio House passed bills 186 and 335 that limit property tax increases based on property growth, but only 10% of Montgomery County properties in districts with the 20-mill floor will benefit. Montgomery County Auditor Karl Keith warned that the proposals fall short and local homeowners will see little relief from rising tax bills — more changes are needed to address their concerns. - ➤ Ohio is planning to buy the 133.4-acre former Hara Arena site in Trotwood and Harrison Twp — valued at $3.3M — to build the Miami Valley Behavioral Healthcare Hospital, which will cover 285,000 square feet and provide up to 208 beds. Local officials have offered contrasting views as Trotwood’s Mayor says the project does not align with local economic and revitalization goals while other township leaders view it as transformational. - ➤ Dayton Mall's property at 2700 Ohio 725 in Miami Twp sold for $37 million last Wednesday — a price similar to its nearly $32.2 million sale in 1985, according to county records. Hull Property Group, which announced its acquisition on Oct. 26, will guide the mall’s next steps. Dayton Daily News
