- ➤ On Friday night local community members gathered at Fifth Street Brewpub in Saint Anne's Hill to celebrate the end of the Hall Hunger Initiative’s Eat fresh, Buy local campaign at the Lavendar Project’s Moon Market—local black and brown farmers were highlighted while live music and vendor booths connected neighbors. - ➤ Resonant Sciences started construction on a new building in Beavercreek as the defense contractor expands its work on radomes, electronics and radar systems linked to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base – the company employs about 250 staff and plans to hire more to meet growing demand. - ➤ The construction of Ohio’s first Buc-ee’s store in Huber Heights is on track for an April 2026 opening as crews improve the roadway to handle more traffic—widening State Route 235, adding lanes, and building new site entrances. - ➤ Mahle Behr will close its Mount Sterling plant next year as part of a business site restructuring — the shutdown will begin Dec. 1 and end Aug. 31, 2026, affecting about 141 workers. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Wright State University reported an increase in overall enrollment to 11,924 students this fall at both the Lake Campus and main campus—even though new international student enrollment declined by about 11%.
