CRIME NEWS

  • Records show school bus driver Matthew Hunt resigned from Vandalia-Butler City Schools in 2009 after complaints about inappropriate interactions with students—he was later indicted on 82 felony counts related to abuses involving minors, with records indicating several schools were aware of his past issues.  Dayton Daily News

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Today, Wright State University reported that its Operation Move-In has brought over 2,400 students to campus—the highest number in over a decade. More than 1,100 new students moved in this week while over 1,200 returning students arrived last week as 72 resident advisers and 380 volunteers helped prepare for the fall semester starting Thursday.  WYSO
