- ➤ Buc-ee’s is hiring managers for its new Huber Heights store at 8000 State Route 235, which is under construction and set to open by spring—that search includes roles like general manager, assistant general manager, night manager, grocery manager, deli/food service manager, gift/merchandise manager, human resources representative, and janitorial/cleaning and maintenance manager. Once construction is complete, Buc-ee’s will expand hiring to include additional positions such as cashiers and team leads. Dayton Daily News

- ➤ Former Dayton police chief Grover W. O’Connor, who died in 1993, admitted he approved illegal wiretapping during the late 1960s and riots—he said he targeted Black Panther phones—and he made this confession two months before his death. Dayton Daily News
