  • The Montgomery County Fair kicked off Sunday with traditional food vendors, rides, and animal barns available all week.   • Dayton will host many events in July including comedy nights at Gallery and shows at the Funny Bone — community festivals, outdoor camps, and local concerts will offer family fun and varied ticket prices.   • Two people were hospitalized at Miami Valley Hospital with gunshot wounds early Sunday morning after being shot on the 40 block of Marathon Ave — officials are actively investigating the incident.  WDTN

  • Montgomery County Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services launched the L.O.S.S. Teams program in June to support those who lost a loved one to suicide by offering immediate and long-term help— a public information session will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. at 409 E. Monument Ave in Dayton to share program details and enlist volunteers.  WYSO
