- ➤ On Friday morning, the Kettering Police Department asked the public to help identify two vehicles that may have witnessed a deadly crash—one likely a 2019—2021 Toyota Rav 4 and the other a 2016—2020 Mitsubishi Outlander, with the driver of the second wearing a neon yellow—green shirt. WDTN
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ One person was airlifted after being shot at around 11:50 p.m. on Wellington Court in Hamilton on the Fourth of July—authorities have not released any suspect information. WDTN
- ➤ Terry Hill Jr., 59, of Dayton was indicted on charges of health care fraud, false statements and conspiracy—he allegedly ran Recovery Street Central, a facility that submitted over $4 million in false Medicaid claims despite a prior exclusion from Medicare and Medicaid. WHIO-TV
- ➤ Late Friday evening, a shooting on West Grand Ave left two people hospitalized, with one taken to Miami Valley Hospital and the other to Grandview Medical Center (incident in the 600 block). WDTN
- ➤ A man was hospitalized after being shot on W. Second St. on Independence Day in the 3800 block at about 11 p.m. when a 911 caller gave first aid until EMS arrived. WDTN
- ➤ The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office warned residents today that phone scams targeting elders have surged with reports of IRS impersonation, grandparent scams, charity fraud and crypto scams — urging families to verify suspicious calls and keep personal details safe. Dayton 24/7 Now
