  • Over the past weekend, tens of thousands attended the CenterPoint Energy Dayton Air Show where visitors saw large aircraft displays including the C-17, the C-5, and the Goodyear blimp celebrating its centennial. Actor Gary Sinise performed at Flight Fest+where he thanked local veterans and first responders while organizers provided cooling mists and advised early arrival to beat the heat.  Dayton Daily News
  • The Dayton Air Show practice flights give families a chance to see the planes up close and enjoy interactive displays—more than 300 Special Wish Kids will attend while organizers prepare for a warm weekend with meet-and-greets including the Thunderbirds.   • The Army Aviation Heritage Foundation offered helicopter rides in Vietnam-era Huey & Cobra helicopters at the Dayton Air Show on Sunday, June 22, giving families and thrill seekers a chance to experience military history and honor veterans.
