CULTURE NEWS

  • Bill Gates (Microsoft co-founder) attended Dayton History’s dedication of the Mark and Paula Hurd NCR Archive Center today, highlighting the legacy preserved from one of the city’s key companies. Local community members gathered to commemorate the event and honor Dayton’s heritage.  Dayton Daily News
  • Underground Skatepark hosted its sixth annual three-day skate party this past weekend at multiple Dayton venues, offering skating sessions + workshops and tributes to Ohio Legends as part of the city's rich skating culture. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Drivers in the Dayton area face delays as multiple road construction projects take effect (including the Jefferson Street ramp closure, I-75 lane shifts and Ohio 63 widening) with work scheduled through 2026. Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time and follow detour signs.  Dayton Daily News
  • The city announced crews will mill and pave 14 streets in Centerville over the next several weeks as part of its road resurfacing project — the work is expected to improve road conditions and may cause minor delays near the routes.  WHIO-TV

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • Agree Central LLC bought the Moraine Walmart property at 1701 Dorothy Lane for $7.6M on May 21, and Walmart confirmed the store will remain open — the lease site will not close.  Dayton Daily News
  • The historic Joseph Tice House at 23 Maple Ave, Centerville, is on the market for $275,000. Built in 1808 and part of the historic district, the 2,106-sqft stone residence with two bedrooms and two baths offers a unique piece of local history (its original fruit cellar was transformed over time).  Dayton Daily News
