  • The Paul Laurence Dunbar House in Dayton underwent a $700K restoration that fixed drainage, masonry and foundation issues while keeping its historic look. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Federal agents are investigating allegations that Fuyao Glass America paid $126 million in connection with labor trafficking and trade violations, with local ties including Sunsong and Wellmade—plus a federal report is due later this month.  Dayton Daily News
  • Over 100 Ohio humanities leaders from Dayton and Clark County sent a letter to Senator Husted asking for the release of NEH funds appropriated by Congress to support local groups like Gammon House & rural communities.   • Local city officials are reviewing rules that allow electric bikes on sidewalks as sales rise and concerns grow over interactions with pedestrians. Officials plan to clarify speed limits for motorized bikes and restrict higher powered electric vehicles to ensure safety + promote healthy transportation.  Dayton Daily News

HEALTH NEWS

  • Dayton Street Medicine received a $2.5 million grant through Wright State University’s Boonshoft School of Medicine and Premier Health to add two new service days this summer. The program will expand care to rural and high-need Dayton areas + train more medical students and residents.  WHIO-TV
