CRIME NEWS

  • Dayton police are looking for 1-year-old Kyng-Legend Wilkerson and 3-year-old Lamont Wilkerson Jr. after 41-year-old Sabrina Monegan left with the boys Friday at 11:35 p.m. in a 2019 gray Honda HRV with expired plates — authorities say clues include a teal onesie with a whale and a Paw Patrol bookbag for Kyng-Legend, a green shirt for Lamont, and Monegan’s description as having black hair and brown eyes, as she is believed to be heading to Florida.  WHIO-TV

  • Rose Music Center at the Heights announced its 10-year anniversary concert lineup starting today with The String Cheese Incident w/ The Wood Brothers and a series of shows running through September 21. The venue, which finished construction in 2015 and hosted over 430 artists, will also sell limited edition merchandise—adding to the anniversary celebration.  WHIO-TV

  • At a Moraine Planning Commission meeting on Tuesday, May 20, developers will request a zoning change to demolish a nearby apartment building and combine it with the vacant Frisch’s site to build a WaWa gas station and convenience store on the southeast corner of Springboro Pike and South Dixie Avenue—this effort aims to refresh a busy intersection.  Dayton Daily News
  • Miami Township fiscal officer Bob Matthews is under a state investigation after trustees reported him for unauthorized fund withdrawals for coin purchases and for allegedly attempting to fire the finance director who blocked the move — state officials said the Ohio Auditor’s Special Investigations Unit opened the probe in line with Fiscal Integrity Act procedures.  Dayton Daily News
