- ➤ Ronald McDonald House of Dayton is hosting its Tab-A-Pull-Ooza fundraiser (20th edition) to collect pop tabs for recycling that turn into funds supporting families with children in hospital. - ➤ Harrison Township firefighters rescued a family of two adult geese and four goslings stranded on the roof of a vacant building on Friday (using Ladder 95 to retrieve them) and later released the birds into a nearby wooded area. WHIO-TV

ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Central State University and The Foodbank, Inc. are launching a food forest outside downtown Dayton to boost tree canopy coverage and offer classes on planting and care. The project kicks off at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 18 at The Foodbank’s Community Center at 10 Armor Place. Dayton Daily News
