- ➤ Citizen Jane, known as Jane Marshall, has turned her home in Preble County into a hub where locals meet to learn sewing & quilting and connect with one another. - ➤ A mini food truck rally will be held in support of BL BBQ and Karaoke DJ Food Truck after a local driver was seriously hurt and his truck totaled in a crash on his way to a children’s hospital to feed nurses, with trucks including What The Taco, liliashomecookedmeals, iggyragus, and squeaky wheels participating and 10% of sales and donations going to support Larry and his family at the first Friends of Tasty Bacon's benefit rally. - ➤ A Dayton man, Jerry Robert Logsdon (25), was sentenced by the Dayton Municipal Court to 90 days in jail, three years of intensive supervision and a three-year driver’s license suspension while ordered to pay $5,533.81 in restitution, $250 in fines and $120 in court costs after he lost control of his vehicle and fatally struck Jennifer L. Johnson (44) waiting for a bus on Dec. 28, 2022. Dayton Daily News

- ➤ UD will end its AVIATE program this spring in favor of a simpler housing system—shifting housing assignments to the fall to give students more control—and staff are testing a new process with student input as the housing application for 2026-27 opens on September 8. Flyer News
- ➤ Centerville Schools is considering a partnership with the YMCA of Greater Dayton to offer before and after school child care in its K-5 buildings for the 2025-26 school year. The board will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Centerville High School South Unit Commons to vote on the proposal, where families will pay the YMCA directly & the organization will handle employee pay and benefits. - ➤ Trotwood is redeveloping the Woodland Hills apartments that were damaged by 2019 tornadoes — the 430-unit complex is being fixed up in two phases by Windsor Companies and Trotwood CIC. Phase one is half complete with the first building ready to lease in June — phase two will add 336 new apartments by early 2026. Dayton Daily News
- ➤ Montgomery County Landbank will build 40 new homes and rehabilitate 24 houses in the Madden Hills, Fairview, Wolfcreek and Dayton View Triangle neighborhoods as part of a $17 million program funded partly by the state Welcome Home Ohio program. Builders Centerstone Homes and Ohio Regional Constructors will complete the work by May 2026 — the new homes will blend with local styles and be offered at prices no higher than $180,000 for eligible buyers.
