- ➤ A historical marker at the Paul Laurence Dunbar House, 219 N. Paul Laurence Dunbar St., honors the Dayton-born writer known for his poems, novels, and plays who was born on June 27 and died on February 9. - ➤ Local school districts in Franklin, West Clermont and Mt. Healthy turned down levy proposals, leaving school leaders to plan cuts to all-day kindergarten, increases in sports fees and a switch to state minimum busing next school year—while Madison reported a tied vote that may trigger a recount if extra ballots bring a margin of six or fewer votes. - ➤ On April 29, Montgomery County Commissioners approved putting the Human Services Levy on November’s ballot along with one‑time funding of $9.17 million for the Board of Developmental Disabilities Services.
