  • The memorial service for Trenton Ladd, a 25-year-old man who froze to death on Bates Street in January, was held yesterday at 3 p.m. at Good Shepherd Ministries on E. Third St as his mother Carol Sue Jackson hosted the event and Pastor Jeff Cartwright led a prayer vigil that featured a balloon launch and refreshments.  WDTN
  • Close friends and family gathered to honor 25-year-old Trenton Ladd, who died from accidental hypothermia after being found on January 5th — his mother and community leaders spoke to offer hope and encourage recovery efforts.  Dayton 24/7 Now

  • Early Sunday morning, a crash on I-75 near milepost 66 in Miami County killed a 28-year-old Saturn driver and injured two people after a 2021 Ford slowed for another accident and was hit from behind before a 2021 Jeep struck the disabled car — Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the multi-vehicle incident.  WDTN
  • A three-vehicle crash on U.S. 68 today in Greene County killed one person at 11:36 a.m.—no other injuries were reported as officials began investigating.  Dayton Daily News

  • The Macy’s store at Dayton Mall in Miami Twp is set to close by year's end—this store is now the last Macy’s in the region after another location closed earlier this year. The 263,566 square foot property at 2700 Ohio 741 is listed for sale and valued at just over $1.4 million.  Dayton Daily News

  • The Ohio Air National Guard's four wings will come together at Wilmington Air Park this weekend for the Live in '25 exercises where fighter jets and tankers will simulate warlike scenarios.   • Ray & Mascari Inc. recalled its 4 Count Vine Ripe Tomatoes packaged in 20-oz containers from 11 states including Ohio on May 3 due to possible Salmonella contamination—consumers are advised to discard products with the specified lot numbers immediately.  Dayton 24/7 Now
  • Dayton and Montgomery County Public Health is recruiting volunteers for the Ohio Medical Reserve Corps — a 20-year-old program that trains helpers for emergencies — to ensure enough support during disasters and health crises.
