- ➤ New federal data shows Butler, Greene and Warren counties ranked among the top 15 for GDP growth in 2024 (with real GDP increases from 4.4% to 4.8%). - ➤ Seven Meadowdale Career Technology Center JROTC seniors have enlisted in the Army, Navy, and Air Force and will attend basic training this summer at various locations. - ➤ The Vandalia Division of Fire warns residents that the Ohio burn ban remains in effect until May 1 after a rise in illegal outdoor burning this spring; residents are advised to follow safe recreational burning practices by keeping fires 25 feet from structures and using clean, dry wood. WHIO-TV
- ➤ Local governments in Montgomery, Butler and Warren counties received state funding as part of Ohio’s Shine a Light on Dumpers initiative to fight illegal dumping.
