- ➤ At 12:39 a.m. Saturday on I-75 South at milepost 31 in Turtlecreek Township, a 32-year-old motorcyclist from Middletown died when his Kawasaki crashed into a Honda driven by a 24-year-old from South Lebanon— the Honda driver was treated for minor injuries and the crash remains under investigation. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Dayton police investigated reports that a male was shot in the leg on the 4000 block of Midway Avenue just before 2 p.m. Saturday after his mother said he may have been hit by a stray bullet while driving. WHIO-TV
- ➤ Police confirmed a murder-suicide at a Troy home on Friday afternoon after officers entered the residence during a welfare check prompted by a mail carrier report of accumulating mail and a neighbor noting the occupants had been missing—both victims were taken to Miami Valley Regional Crime Lab for autopsies. - ➤ On Friday, police and firefighters responded to a house on Chambersburg Road in Huber Heights at about 4:15 p.m. for a reported possible arson and later answered a call of a man with a gunshot wound to the head—investigators say the incidents may be connected. WDTN

- ➤ Sinclair Community College held its record College Credit Plus graduation by awarding associate degrees to 89 high school students, including one who earned three degrees before graduation. The ceremony recognized students from 20 programs and they will join the May 9 commencement at the University of Dayton arena. Dayton Daily News

- ➤ High-wind damage from Saturday morning's storm caused multiple power poles to fail in the Miami Valley, leaving 192 people without power mostly south of Sidney and west of Vandeila. AES Ohio has de-energized the lines to repair the damage and will restore power when the poles are replaced. WDTN
