A family of three was rescued on Sunday after their car became stranded in roughly three feet of moving water near Tipp City when the driver ignored road closed signs on Tipp Canal Road in Monroe Twp, prompting Tipp City Fire and EMS and mutual aid from other local agencies to perform a wading rescue that transported an adult male to UVMC while the mother and daughter were assessed on scene.

Deputies are investigating a reported stabbing at a Montgomery County apartment complex—initial reports say that a male stabbed another male then left the scene.

Local school districts expanded free breakfast + lunch options this school year, with schools serving more students and adding fresh fruits + salads to their menus.
