  • On Easter weekend, hundreds remembered Capt. Curtis Angst at the Roberts Centre in Wilmington. The Beavercreek Planning Commission approved a new Chick-fil-A site near Wright State University, and local egg hunts continue.  Dayton Daily News
  • Families enjoyed the Egg-cellent Easter Parade in Oakwood on Saturday, April 4 as Oakwood FOP Lodge 107 handed out 6000 candy-filled eggs along Shafor Boulevard and volunteers helped create a festive atmosphere.  Dayton Daily News

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Day Air Credit Union will open new financial centers early next year at two former Frisch’s sites—one at 1231 N. Fairfield Road in Beavercreek and another at 20 Troy Town Drive in Troy.  WHIO-TV
  • Developers approved plans for a new Chick-fil-A at 3676 Colonel Glenn Highway near Wright State University, which will include a 5,200 sqft restaurant with seating and a drive thru that has two lanes. The project anchors Raider Row and is expected to attract additional high quality tenants.  WHIO-TV

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • When a local woman did not receive her mail, she reached out to the ombudsman's office in Dayton for help. The office contacted a USPS supervisor + fixed the mishandling and advised her to sign up for informed delivery to receive email alerts.  Dayton Daily News

HEALTH NEWS

  • The Courtyard at Centerville now offers the Day Away program for dementia caregivers and their loved ones Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The program provides memory care activities, a hot meal, and flexible scheduling for a fee of $70 per day for nonresidents and $60 for residents.  Dayton Daily News

  • Dayton Arcade is revived by community partners and developer Cross Street to become a vibrant marketplace featuring tenants like Luke’s Custom Cakes and Pink Moon Goods (the sleeping giant now offers free metered street parking after 6 p.m. and on weekends).  Dayton Daily News

  • The Dragons announced Craftsmen Home Improvements will name the suite level at Day Air Ballpark. The renovation plan will update the 25 luxury suites after each of the next two seasons — a project that shows the local remodeler's impact in the community.  WHIO-TV
  • Trotwood’s SAY Soccer program returns after more than a decade, holding an Opening Day event Saturday at Madison Park to offer local youth a safe, fun space for sports. Practices begin Monday and the team will play its first game on Apr. 18.  Dayton 24/7 Now
