- ➤ Beavercreek Township administrator Ryan Rushing was placed on unpaid leave Friday after an OVI arrest in March—he is set to appear in court on April 14 and trustees appointed Andy Ehrhart as acting township administrator. Dayton Daily News

- ➤ William Pointer, 46, was indicted by the Montgomery County Grand Jury for the murder of 26-year-old Jamie Guadagno on Troy Street on March 25 after police used witness statements and surveillance video to identify him—Pointer now faces seven charges and an arraignment set for April 17 at 8:30 a.m. WDTN
- ➤ An 80-year-old Kettering woman was tricked by scammers posing as a Google technician and bank representative and lost over $50,000 when she transferred her funds, while a Dayton Daily News analysis showed that fraud complaints rose 15% to 8,820 cases last year and Ohio's AG office warned residents against allowing strangers remote access to their devices amid a $12.5-billion loss in 2024. - ➤ Federal agents seized more than $1.14 million in cash and assets—14 properties, 15 vehicles, three luxury watches, and one rifle—from Fuyao Glass America and its alleged money laundering group during raids at 28 southern Ohio locations; investigators said the probe, which began in 2019, uncovered illegal workers living in family-style hotels.
