- ➤ On March 26th, officers responded to a single-vehicle crash on the 1200 block of East Third Street at about 11:30 a.m.—when a silver 2013 Nissan Sentra left its painted turn lane median and struck a tree—which fatally injured a 22-year-old woman who was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead after noon. - ➤ Authorities launched an investigation after a 25-year-old man died in custody at Montgomery County Jail following his arrest by Englewood Police on Monday on charges of receiving stolen property and obstructing official business. WHIO-TV
- ➤ A grand jury indicted Terrell Arthur Johnson, 45, on charges of murder, felonious assault, tampering with evidence and violating a protection order after he reportedly shot his ex-girlfriend Marquia Hunter, 38, at her Dayton apartment on March 16—authorities said a witness called 911 after hearing gunfire. - ➤ Wright State University will host the 26th annual ArtsGala on Saturday, April 5 at the Creative Arts Center on its Dayton campus with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and a program starting at 7 p.m.; over half of the 550 students will perform in art, dance, music, motion pictures and theatre, raising funds for scholarships through ticket sales, sponsorships and a silent auction—marking a longstanding tradition of community support.
