- ➤ Young’s Jersey Dairy announced its 42nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt on April 20 will use plastic eggs instead of more than 10,000 hard-boiled eggs due to soaring egg prices, and each egg will hold a free ride ticket on Cowtherine’s Carousel while donating $1,500 each to Second Harvest Food Bank and The Foodbank. The dairy said it will return to hard-boiled eggs in 2026 and will hold the event at its Yellow Springs farm (6880 Springfield-Xenia Road) starting at 2 p.m. (with timed entries for different age groups). - ➤ Federal regulators announced that small and mid-sized Dayton businesses are now exempt from beneficial ownership reporting under the Corporate Transparency Act, a change that cuts red tape and shifts requirements only to foreign reporting companies. The new rule extends the deadline to file or update reports to April 20 if a company registered before March 21 + exempts U.S. citizens from reporting their financial interests in such companies. - ➤ The Montgomery County commission signed a resolution and will join other agencies to form a task force to address stray dog overpopulation and irresponsible pet ownership. Commissioner Mary McDonald will represent the county—named at Tuesday’s meeting—and the task force will meet for the first time on March 31 as it plans a spring town hall for the public. - ➤ Wright-Patterson Air Force Base has launched a website that provides updates on gate access, traffic conditions and road changes for its Areas A and B.
