- ➤ This year marks the 112th anniversary of the Great Dayton Flood of 1913 that killed 400 people and prompted the creation of the Miami Conservancy District in 1915 to protect our communities. - ➤ A man was charged after Leslie Ross (52, a Dayton resident) was fatally shot in a Miamisburg home on March 12, and Dametrius Turner (32) faces charges including murder as he awaits arraignment on March 27. WHIO-TV

EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Ohio First Lady Fran DeWine celebrated the mailing of the 20 millionth book from Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library at Greene County Public Library in Beavercreek by reading from the 'Coat of Many Colors' book—she also led children in making a patchwork craft. More than 400,000 children now participate in the program that mails an age-appropriate book each month to every child under five—statistically reaching 62% of eligible kids statewide. - ➤ CPS Solutions, LLC discovered a breach on December 4 when an unknown party accessed an employee's business email account, and the investigation found that data was removed between December 2 and December 4. The company notified Dayton Children’s Hospital on February 10 and has since offered two years of free credit monitoring and identity protection services—no misuse has been reported. WHIO-TV
