- ➤ Dayton-area companies earned over $61 million in federal innovation grants last year after the SBIR program expired on Sept. 30, 2025, and the House’s reauthorization now heads to final approval, which local leaders say will strengthen innovation and support key projects in the region. - ➤ Winsupply announced an expansion that will add 1.6 million sqft of warehouse space across regions, including a 200,000 sqft addition in Dayton to help support over 680 local companies. The work is scheduled to finish around fall. WHIO-TV

- ➤ Thick black smoke is still rising from the Fuyao Glass America plant nearly 24 hours after a fire began, and the fire department has asked the EPA to monitor air quality. The Regional Air Pollution Control Agency said it is continuing normal checks at monitoring stations across Miami Valley counties. WHIO-TV
- ➤ The Fuyao Glass America plant in Moraine remains ablaze more than 20 hours after igniting Sunday at 8:30 p.m., and heavy smoke drifts over nearby neighborhoods, leading residents with health concerns to stay indoors + officials urge people to avoid the area. WHIO-TV
- ➤ A section of the Great Miami River Recreation Trail in Franklin is closed today for repairs addressing erosion damage, affecting a two-mile route from Crains Run Park to Jackson Street.
