- ➤ Former Dayton Daily News chief photographer and editor Skip Peterson died on Monday, March 17th, 2025, after a long career that started in 1973 and ended with his retirement in 2007. He covered major events including the Indianapolis 500 and the Pulitzer Prize-winning series (Military Medicine: Unnecessary Danger) and is survived by his wife and four children (Meredith Turany, Sam Peterson, Libby Peterson, and Erin Wheeler) along with four grandchildren. - ➤ Parts of Main Street between Second and Third remain blocked as strong winds and heavy rain on Saturday caused a partial collapse of the vacant Stratacache building — fire officials said a 60-foot section of a wall adjacent to the structure fell. WHIO-TV

- ➤ On Sunday, about 1,500 kids joined the Big Hoopla STEM Challenge on the Wright State campus where they ran a 4 Miler, explored hands-on science booths and took part in a Hot Shot basketball shoot-out. Four STEM winners received iPads while participants who completed 18 stations entered a drawing for 12 tuition scholarships—eight Hot Shot winners will be honored at halftime during the championship tournament at UD Arena.
