- ➤ A UK composites producer will open its first US plant in Vandalia soon, creating 37 research jobs (with additional production roles) while partnering with local aerospace and automotive companies. The facility will also work with researchers from the University of Dayton. Dayton Daily News

- ➤ More than 7,000 people lost power in Miami Valley after severe storms passed through Wednesday, leaving disrupted services across several neighborhoods. Utility teams worked quickly to restore electricity while officials advised residents to stay updated on recovery progress. WHIO-TV

- ➤ The 711th Human Performance Wing and UC Health are expanding the Center for Sustainment of Trauma and Readiness Skills Simulation Center at UC Clifton into a 30,000 sqft, $10 million facility that will raise training for Air Force health teams to 300, improving combat and mass casualty care. - ➤ Thirty-two new market-rate homes are on the market in Wolf Creek and Wright Dunbar, built with support via the Dayton Recovery Plan and ARPA funds.
