  • Subaru warned nearly 69,000 local drivers to park their cars outside and avoid refueling past 50% due to a fuel cap issue. The advisory was issued on Monday, Mar. 2 — the recall aims to reduce potential safety risks.  WHIO-TV

  • Dayton Area Harp Ensemble is celebrating its 46th season with two free St. Patrick’s Day concerts featuring Celtic harps, instrumentalists and Irish Kerry dancers. One concert is set for Sunday, Mar. 8 at 7:00 p.m. at Belmont United Methodist Church and no tickets are needed.  Dayton937.com

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Students at Springfield-Clark Career Technology Center are building a nearly finished 1,300 sqft Habitat for Humanity home on campus to gain carpentry skills. The house will be installed on property from the Clark County Land Bank by the end of the school year (supported by federal funds and local partners).  WYSO

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Transportation crews are shifting lanes and closing ramps on I-75, Woodman Drive, and several state routes across Montgomery, Warren, Greene, and Miami counties for routine road work. Drivers should follow posted detours during these changes—which will continue through Spring 2026 and into early 2027—to avoid delays.  Dayton Daily News
  • Cybersecurity experts from the University of Dayton warn that Iran might target power, water, and financial systems if the conflict escalates. They advise residents and businesses to stay cautious with suspicious messages (including emails and texts).  WHIO-TV

  • Maronda Homes of Ohio wants to rezone 72 acres on West National Road in Englewood for 162 new single-family homes. A public hearing is set for Wednesday, March 4 at 5:30 p.m. to review the Terrace Farm project featuring road extensions and 45% open space.  Dayton Daily News
