  • After months of searching due to a broken storefront and a nearby fire, the Dayton Book Fair has moved to a temporary space at 175 Campbell Street while it prepares to announce a new home soon. Rabbit Hole Books will reopen on March 6.  Dayton 24/7 Now
  • Fast micro drones will race from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday through Sunday at the Air Force Museum's Korean War Gallery, where free admission lets fans enjoy an indoor race and STEM exhibits (by the Engineers’ Club of Dayton and Sinclair Community College) organized by Cincinnati Quad Racers.  Dayton Daily News

CULTURE NEWS

  • Greene County Public Library introduced a creative theme featuring hands-on crafts, local art displays, student showcases, and a weekly art history challenge that honors Black History Month and Valentine’s Day. The event runs this month at the library.  Dayton 24/7 Now
  • Kettering Children's Choir, serving nearly 100 singers from nine counties since 1986, is a finalist for the $10,000 GBU Foundation Community Builder Award and seeks local votes until Feb. 28 (11:59 p.m. ET).  Dayton 24/7 Now

EDUCATION NEWS

  • University of Dayton is launching a Campus Master Plan to update facilities including parking and underused buildings (community input is invited) over the next 13 months. Funded by the current budget, the phased plan will not affect tuition and aims to enhance campus resources.  Flyer News
  • Air Force and Dayton leaders sign an out-grant license today to set aside 16 acres of base land near the Air Force Museum for a $38M STEM center. Fundraising will follow as the project lays the groundwork for training future scientists and engineers.  Dayton Daily News
  • The University of Dayton board of trustees is starting a comprehensive search for a new president to succeed Eric Spina, who will retire in June 2027. The board will include Marianists and community members in upcoming listening sessions during the interviews.  Dayton Daily News
