- ➤ Dayton International Airport (DAY) is set to add new United Airlines nonstop flights to Chicago starting this spring as part of a growth plan that saw enplanements rise by 1.7% in 2025. The extra capacity will bring 45 additional flights and 2,805 more seats per month. Dayton Daily News
- ➤ Construction began on a new Bank of America branch at the former Forest Park Shopping Center in Harrison Twp, with local officials attending the groundbreaking on Thursday + work at 4360 N. Main St. is set to finish later this year so the bank can open to clients this fall. Dayton Daily News

- ➤ Black History Month comes alive in Dayton with events celebrating African American heritage, including The Dayton Funk Legacy at the Metro Library on Feb. 13 and mausoleum tours on Feb. 7 and Feb. 21; additional library programs and dance performances are scheduled throughout February. - ➤ Dayton Public Schools will decide between a 5-mill levy expected to raise $10.6 million and a 7-mill option to garner $14 million from the November ballot to cover a $9 million budget gap — DPS Superintendent Dr. David Lawrence says the delay gives additional time to refine the campaign. - ➤ University of Dayton President Eric Spina will retire in June 2027 after 11 years leading the campus. The board has engaged an executive search firm to find his successor while he finalizes his leadership on projects such as The Hub (Powered by PNC Bank) and the arts center. Dayton Daily News
- ➤ Dayton Christian School in Miami Twp. received an additional $500,000 donation from the McAfee Foundation for its $4M multipurpose center project to build a full-size turf field for football, soccer + track events while reaching a $1M campaign total to help students who travel up to 20 minutes for games.
