ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Today, Poppets Coffee and Tea held its official ribbon-cutting for its new specialty café on East Dorothy Lane in Kettering—co-owner Michael Thomas said the venue will serve quality coffee to the community.  Dayton 24/7 Now
  • Christopher’s Restaurant & Catering has consolidated its dining and event services at 3425 Valley Pike in Riverside after selling its Linden Ave location. The owner announced that weekly dining events, including theme dinners and Sunday brunch, will begin this month.  Dayton Daily News

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Dayton International Airport saw a 1.7 percent rise in enplanements in 2025 with three out of four carriers reporting growth and 11,000 more departing passengers. The airport announced United Airlines will add daily nonstop flights to Chicago over the next six months.  WHIO-TV

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Dayton Public Schools Board of Education is planning a new levy on the November ballot after 18 years without one, with options including a 5-mill measure estimated to raise $10.4 million and a 7-mill measure expected to raise over $14 million for facility improvements.  WHIO-TV

  • A 4-year-old girl has returned home after a heart transplant and long hospital stay; her family said she is recovering well, now taking fewer medications & enjoying riding her bike and playing with her dog, with plans to start preschool next year.  WHIO-TV
