- ➤ More than 600 regional business leaders attended the Dayton Development Coalition Annual Meeting at the Convention Center on Wednesday, Feb. 4. DDC President Jeff Hoagland said 2025 projects generated 984 new jobs and $73.3 million in payroll while IBM leaders discussed tech advances (AI, hybrid cloud, quantum) boosting economic growth. WYSO

- ➤ A red-tailed hawk went missing from its defaced enclosure in Darke County, and officials said Spirit (the bird) is imprinted on humans and cannot fend for itself in the wild. WHIO-TV
- ➤ The city of Dayton will develop a 600-acre solar farm near Little Richmond Road and State Route 49 — AEP will purchase the energy to help limit rising bills for customers in its aggregation program. Site work begins this year and construction is set for early 2027. WHIO-TV
