- ➤ Between Jan. 7 and Jan. 21, the ODNR received 391 reports that counted 715 bald eagles across Ohio, showing a big increase in the species since they were once endangered + in Dayton, local pairs at Carillon Park welcomed two eaglets last year. WHIO-TV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Wright-Patterson Air Force Base is renewing 29 historic brick homes with about $70 million in funding. Nine homes have been completed; eight will be finished by mid-2026, and the remaining 12 are planned for mid-2027. Dayton Daily News
