- ➤ On Jan. 11, Montgomery County collected over 3,200 pounds of Styrofoam along with batteries and cardboard at holiday recycling events in the area. Organizers said the effort aims to reduce waste and promote recycling. WHIO-TV

- ➤ The city of Dayton will add 27 cameras to its automatic license plate reader program with an $88,500 grant—covering Twin Towers, Burkhardt, Residence Park, Miami Chapel and Redcrest—and the contract bans federal immigration searches and deletes data every 30 days unless used in a criminal investigation.
